Bangkok Art Tour: A Spontaneous 3-Day Escape (Vlog)
Sometimes, the best trips are the ones you don't plan.
After my deep dive into the Korean art world last year, I hadn't planned on traveling much in 2025. I was saving up for a new destination like Taiwan or Hong Kong. But when some travel credits were about to expire, I made a split-second decision to return to a familiar friend: Bangkok.

This wasn't a typical tourist run. It was a 48-hour "art sprint"—a chance to recharge my creative batteries and explore how Thailand's capital is evolving into a major art hub.
Today on Nogias.me, I’m sharing my latest vlog: "Bangkok Art Tour."
A "Go With The Flow" Itinerary
Unlike my meticulously planned Korea trip, this journey was all about spontaneity. I landed with no strict agenda, just a desire to see what was new.
My first stop was the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). It’s a place I’ve visited before, but it never fails to surprise me. I was lucky enough to catch the UOB Painting of the Year exhibition and a deeply moving photography exhibition titled "Human"—which I loved so much, I actually went back on my last morning just to see it again.
Hidden Gems in the Creative District
The highlight of the trip, however, was venturing into the "Creative District" around Charoen Krung.
I discovered ATT19, a stunning gallery housed in a 120-year-old former Chinese school. The architecture alone—with its reclaimed teak wood and open courtyards—was a work of art. Just down the road, I explored Warehouse 30, a series of WWII-era warehouses converted into a hip community space. There, I visited Gallery CURU and saw the vibrant "Jumbo Bangkok" exhibition.
More Than Just Art
Of course, no trip to Bangkok is complete without food and friends. I caught up with my friends Tun and Sai (congrats to them on their new baby!) for a food tour at the 100-year-old Nang Loeng Market. We also chilled at "Such a Small World" at the Corner House, a retro 80s-style hangout that felt tailor-made for our generation.
